Still Happy Valley?

Are things still happy in Happy Valley? It looks like defensive coordinator Tom Bradley is getting an earfull from JoePa. This poster was passed along to me by Mr. F from over in Loyalsock. I thought it was pretty creative and worth the post. What do you think?

Crazy Hair Day - Bark at the Moon!

I have to say that Mr. Z looks pretty good in blue hair. It is a rather long mullet cut. For myself, I am just glad to have hair at the ripe age of 37. Rock on Curtin students keep up the great work!

Mr. Z looks like a future father! He is going to be a father once again tomorrow most likely. It was supposed to happen this past Wednesday. Maybe his future daughter is scared, I don't know why with that blue hair and all?

Family Fun Night at Curtin 2007

Curtin Staff hosted Family Fun Night on October 19th to our students and their families. We flew in two sumo wrestlers from Tokyo, Mr. Plowman and Mr. Bartholomew, they look good in their new bodies...so much for the "Healthy Zone." On the right you will see the food servers for the evening, serving our gourmet hot dogs. Great job Mrs. Good, Mrs. Kimball, and Ms. Marriott. Ms. Datres and Ms. Eiswerth handled the basket raffle. Thanks to their salesperson skills, the PTO raised over $200.00. Thanks to all who donated their time or items to this fun night for our families.

AR Catalog is Available on our Website

A link has been placed on the Curtin Homepage so students can check to see if books at home or from the James V. Brown Library are AR books. You can search by title, author or book level. Simply go to Curtin's webpage and click on the Accelerated Reader on the right hand side of the site.

Torre - She He Stay or Should He Go?

My heart goes out to three NY Yankees fans...My son, Connor, my son's third grade teacher, Mr. Cioffi, and Mr. Zangara. The question remains; should Joe Torre be fired as the Yanks manager? It seems like the Yankees need some serious batting practice under that huge payroll. They can send some of that loot toward my broke Pittsburgh Pirates.

Williamsport Proud!

Be sure to check out the new banner hanging outside the office at Curtin. Each school in the WASD has one of these banners on display. It is a pleasure working in our great school district! Did you know that Mr. Fatherly, the principal at Roosevelt Middle School designed this banner. He did an awesome job!

Close Game

The Williamsport Generals U-8

The soccer that I coach won a hard fought game against Montoursville, 2-1. The Generals remain undefeated for the season with the victory. We were down 1-0 at half and came back for the win. The boys showed me a lot with their stiffest competition to date.
