Turkey Bowl 2007

O.K. Which one is the turkey? Can you pick out any Curtin staff members? I was told that Mr. Decker runs a 4.3 40 yard dash. If you look closely you can find a Curtin student in the pic. We could call it, Where's Colin F? Hope everyone had as much fun as these fine athletes did over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Imagine Bugs This Big?

I just read that scientists in London discovered a large fossilized claw, suggesting that a "sea scorpion" existed at one time the size of 8ft. WOW! Imagine a cockroach that large in your bathtub.

Here is Fast Willie Parker! What do you think of the throwback jerseys being worn by the Steelers to commemorate their 75th Anniversary? Yes or No?

They play the Jets this weekend.

The Dome!

Have you had the chance to check out the Dome? It is pretty impressive inside. I think that it is great that we have such a facility such as the Dome in our area. You have to get down there to check it out. If you a sports enthusiast and are looking for some physical activity to participate in over the winter months, this may be the place for you. They have soccer, lacrosse, flag football, golf, and batting cages available. Pretty cool for the upcoming winter time blues.

Fantasy Football

Be sure to ask Mr. Z who won our last Fantasy Football head-to-head competition last weekend. It was total domination by............me! As he left many points on the bench.

Veterans Honored by 7th grade!

Seventh grade students honored Veterans of our great nation this past Veteran's Day! Students were able to demonstrate their appreciation for the service people of our country. Seventh grade students at Curtin performed music, read poems, and personal letters of gratitude honoring our heroes! The local reserve unit even brought two vehichles, rations, equipment, and experience to explain how life in the military works. I want to thank all of the seventh grade team for working together to make this experience happen for our students! It made me proud to be an American!

Curtains in the Curtin Cafeteria!

Mrs. Strickler put her sewing skills together in order to make valances for the Curtin Cafeteria! Awesome job she did with the colors and craftmanship! Thank you for adding some color to the cafe'!

Curtin Orchestra Kids at PMEA

Mr. Radspinner took 11 kids to the PMEA Middle School Stringfest this past Friday and the kids did really well. They represented Curtin well throughout the day. The students rehearsed for over 8 hours with 80 students from 9 different middle school to prepare a concert at Canton Area High School. We are Curtin Proud!

We Roll with the Governor!

Mr. Z and I roll with Governor AGC himself. We are also known as the three amigos. Somebody thought it would be a good idea to superimpose our senior pictures with the "great one" himself. I'll give you a hint as to who it may have been. Hint...he wears bowties. Any ideas?

Parent Conferences at AGC!

November 8 and 9 were Parent Teacher Conferences at ACG. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to meet and discuss the progress of their child's academic progress. Did you give your very best effort? If the answer is "yes" thank you. If not, you have some work to do. Make it a goal to make Honor Roll for marking period 2, you can do it!

Strolling Strings

WAHS Strolling Strings rocked the house at Curtin's Annual Chicken N' Biscuit Dinner. The food was great, great prizes, great music. Thanks to the PTO, students, staff for making this event a success! I am proud to be your principal in our school district!

Mayoral Forum at Curtin

Mr. B and 7th grade World History students sponsored a mayoral forum. This was an excellent opportunity for our students to get involved in the electoral process. Students wrote questions and kept time for responses. We appreciate everyone's effort in pulling this event off in our very own Andrew G. Curtin Middle School Auditiorium.

Bark at the Moon? or Mr. Fink?

Sorry about my blogging lapse! I have plenty to get caught up on. Is this an improvement for Mr. B?

Detroit Lions a Contender?

This is great! The Detroit Lions are actually winning games. That is pretty cool with the improvement they have made from previous years when they were actually horrible. They can keep on winning as long as they don't beat the Steelers! Improvement can come in many ways as long as you keep working on it!

Baby "Z" is Here! Congrats!

The Zangara family added another member to their clan over a week ago. Mr. Zangara is very used to handling baby girls being that this is his third daughter. Luckily Mrs. Z and Mr. Z have two great helpers in their home to assist with the new addition.
