Training Camp Starts

NFL Training Camp started yesterday. I am excited for the upcoming season. Hopefully the Steelers climb to the top. Who is your favorite this season?

Family Time

I took my family and niece to DelGrosso's Amusement Park last Friday afternoon. It is a great part that is inexpensive for kids. It is probably a little dull for middle school and high school students, but elementary kids have a bunch of fun. They do have a pretty cool go-cart track. My two boys are getting ready to ride the Merry Mixer with their cousin.
Yesterday I had off and took my son, Cameron, to spend the week with my father near Altoona. I played golf at Scotch Valley CC, it was very nice, but I played horribly.
July is almost a memory...it is time to get ready for school...maybe after next week? Has anyone been to the new Target yet? My wife is obsessed with Target!

Mr. Z is crying

Mr. Z is crying because Jayson Taylor is off to Washington. I know, I know, why is Mr. Z a Dolphins fan. I am still trying to figure that one out.

NYC - Yankees beat Oakland A's

My two son's and I were on a bus trip this past weekend to Yankee Stadium. My oldest son, Connor, is a Yankee fan. This is the last season for the "House that Ruth Built." The new Yankee Stadium opens for next season. We saw Giambi hit a homer, but it was sweltering hot!

Comeback Kid? or Stay Retired?

So...Brett Favre, should he try to comeback with the Packers or she he go out on top. Do the Packers owe him anything or should they release him to be picked up by another team? Let me know your thoughts.

AGC Summer Camp Week II

Mr. Kaufman has been busy this week facilitating the Collaborative Painting course for eight students. They used a poem as inspiration to paint a mural which is going to be displayed near the library. We are excited and proud to be brightening up the hallways around AGC! Nice work.

Crosscutters

I took my two sons and three of their friends to see the Cutters play last night at Historic Bowman Field. We had a great time. The Cutters split the doubleheader with Oneata Tigers.
We are lucky to have minor league baseball in our area.

Glass Class at AGC-Summer Camps

Glass Class was held at Curtin's first Summer Camp this past week. Check out some of the final products by my friends Lindsay and Caitlin. They learned from Ms. Carrie Bosch how to cut, break, grind, copper foil and solder glass into a finished product. Great job everyone!

Mr. Poole Scores Hole in One

I was able to witness my first live hole in one this summer. It was a 185 yard, par 3 at a golf course in Gettysburg where Jackson Elementary assistant principal Mr. Poole shot this magnificant shot. Mr. Z was in the foursome as well. Congratulations to Mr. Poole for entering the lifetime "Hole in One Club." Cheers Mate!

Time Keeps on Slippin'

Sorry about the delayed posts everyone. Summer is cruising along and I have had a bit of a lapse of posting info to the site. He are a couple of carrots to get us started today.

First, Curtin Summer Camps started yesterday. We have thirteen students taking "Glass Class" with Ms. Bosch. Pretty cool stuff going on in the course. Look for some pics this week sometime.

Check out who graduated! Actually Mr. Z was simply processing at WAHS graduation.
