Turkey Bowl 2007
O.K. Which one is the turkey? Can you pick out any Curtin staff members? I was told that Mr. Decker runs a 4.3 40 yard dash. If you look closely you can find a Curtin student in the pic. We could call it, Where's Colin F? Hope everyone had as much fun as these fine athletes did over the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Dome!
Have you had the chance to check out the Dome? It is pretty impressive inside. I think that it is great that we have such a facility such as the Dome in our area. You have to get down there to check it out. If you a sports enthusiast and are looking for some physical activity to participate in over the winter months, this may be the place for you. They have soccer, lacrosse, flag football, golf, and batting cages available. Pretty cool for the upcoming winter time blues.
Fantasy Football
Be sure to ask Mr. Z who won our last Fantasy Football head-to-head competition last weekend. It was total domination by............me! As he left many points on the bench.

Veterans Honored by 7th grade!
Seventh grade students honored Veterans of our great nation this past Veteran's Day! Students were able to demonstrate their appreciation for the service people of our country. Seventh grade students at Curtin performed music, read poems, and personal letters of gratitude honoring our heroes! The local reserve unit even brought two vehichles, rations, equipment, and experience to explain how life in the military works. I want to thank all of the seventh grade team for working together to make this experience happen for our students! It made me proud to be an American!

We Roll with the Governor!
Parent Conferences at AGC!
November 8 and 9 were Parent Teacher Conferences at ACG. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to meet and discuss the progress of their child's academic progress. Did you give your very best effort? If the answer is "yes" thank you. If not, you have some work to do. Make it a goal to make Honor Roll for marking period 2, you can do it!

Mayoral Forum at Curtin
Mr. B and 7th grade World History students sponsored a mayoral forum. This was an excellent opportunity for our students to get involved in the electoral process. Students wrote questions and kept time for responses. We appreciate everyone's effort in pulling this event off in our very own Andrew G. Curtin Middle School Auditiorium.

Detroit Lions a Contender?
This is great! The Detroit Lions are actually winning games. That is pretty cool with the improvement they have made from previous years when they were actually horrible. They can keep on winning as long as they don't beat the Steelers! Improvement can come in many ways as long as you keep working on it!
Baby "Z" is Here! Congrats!
The Zangara family added another member to their clan over a week ago. Mr. Zangara is very used to handling baby girls being that this is his third daughter. Luckily Mrs. Z and Mr. Z have two great helpers in their home to assist with the new addition.
