Donkey Hoops!

The "Camo Crushers" took the floor, during our incentive assembly last Thursday, for a friendly game of Donkey Basketball. My mustang and I were able to dump in 6 points. It was a lot of fun seeing staff on donkeys. I have to say that I think Mr. Menges hit the hardest. Mr. Decker did a nice job MCing the event.

AGC-Chamber Choir Presents Seussical

Congratulations to our Chamber Choir for their fantastic rendition of Seussical the Musical. They were able to perform three shows over three days. I would like to thank Mrs. Hickey and Ms. Kauffman for their direction. Mr. Richards for "lighting the way." Mrs. Gist for her time in putting together the dance routines. Everyone put in countless hours to make this a huge success. The Round Hills Theater Club came to Curtin during the school-wide performance. Check out the photo essay to see our students in action.

Pi Day in 6th Grade

March 14th (3/14) was Pi day for 6th grade students. Mr. Hess and Mrs. Armstrong sponsored Pi day to celebrate the concept of 3.14 (there is more but that is all that I can remember). Some great tasting pie was enjoyed by all. Thanks for the singing and pie eating in honor of Pi.

Balls Mills Soccer Club Wins Mens Open at the Dome

A Bit of a blurry pic but a couple of known individuals to WASD. Mr. Poole, Jackson Assistant Principal, is the second person from the left in the front row. He demanded that he sit by me, I am the third from the left in the front row. I was the second oldest player on the team!

Congrats to our OM Teams!

Congrats to both of our OM Teams from their weekend regional competition in Mansfield. Our Muses Team took third place in the competition. Thanks for your hardwork and enthusiasm toward this competition. Both teams represented our school well. Williamsport entered 11 teams in the regional competition. Way to represent WASD!

Carolina Panther Visits AGC

AGC was visited by current Carolina Panther, defensive lineman, Tim Shaw, former Penn State Nittany Lion. He was able to meet with some our students to encourage the importance of school and athletics. My friend Darnell was flexing for him. Mr. Decker challenged him to a race but Mr. Shaw declined. We all know Mr. D has some jets. We appreciate Mr. Faus from over in Loyalsock for bringing his friend over to GovernorLand!

AGC Science Fair 2008

It worked! I finally did it! I published my first picture essay on the blog! I want to thank Mr. Faus over at Loyalsock for walking me through this process. Check out the video of the 2008 AGC Science Fair. I think Mr. Kinley, Mr. Haines, Mr. Fink, and Mr. Paulhamus did a great job of organizing the Science Fair. We had over 170 displays, pretty impressive!

Big Ben is a Steeler Forever!

Big Ben signs 8 year, 102 Million dollar deal! It is nice to know that he is locked up in the black and gold for the next eight years. That is a nice chunk of change.

Just wanted to mention that the 7th grade girls basketball team was victorius over Roosevelt this evening.

The 8th grade girls came up short but I was very impressed with their hardwork and never give up attitude. Nice job girls!

Tommorow grade 8 heads to the Community Arts Center to see Frankly Ben. Represent our school well with the positive choices you make in our community. Enjoy the show, I look forward to hearing about it during lunch period.
